HMO HAP Addiction Treatment Coverage

There are seven HMOs, none of which have any deductibles and offer coverage for free prescriptions:

  • HAP Senior Plus
  • HAP Senior Plus Medical Only
  • HAP MSUHC Medicare
  • HAP Henry Ford Tiered Access
  • HAP Primary Choice
  • HAP Choice Medicare Option 1
  • HAP Choice Medicare Option 2

Option 1, Option 2, and Primary Choice plans have no copays for regular services but a limited copay for specialty services received during substance abuse treatment at a HAP drug addiction treatment center in Michigan. Each HMO has less expensive deductibles than the PPOs but doesn’t have a changing deductible for regular care versus specialty services like substance abuse.

Get help today. Call Liberty House for real treatments that work.

PPO HAP Addiction Treatment Coverage

Michigan HAP drug rehab might still require a copay for the individual services received as part of your Michigan HAP drug rehab.

There are five PPO plans offered by HAP insurance:

  • HAP Senior Plus Option 1
  • HAP Medicare Flex
  • HAP Senior Plus Option 2
  • HAP Senior Plus Option 3
  • HAP Senior Plus Option 4

The first two, Option 1 and Medicare Flex, as well as the Senior Plus Option 4, have no copay for your primary care physician but a copay for any specialists. Option 2 and Option 3 plans have a smaller copay for primary care physician visits and a similarly priced copay for specialists.

With Liberty House, many of the services you receive for HAP Michigan drug and alcohol rehab may fall under the “specialists” category, such as the therapists or addiction counselors with whom you work during your rehab. In these cases, you might be required to pay out of pocket for each session.

For example: If you meet for individual therapy once per week at a HAP drug addiction treatment center in Michigan, and you have the Option 3 Senior Plus plan, you might have to pay thirty-five dollars out of pocket each week, but HAP might cover the rest.

For all of the PPO plans, the deductible is the maximum you have to pay out of pocket per year for any services, including residential substance abuse programs or dual diagnosis services. This amount varies for specialists, like substance abuse, and ranges from five thousand dollars to twelve thousand, depending on your plan. Some HAP Michigan drug and alcohol rehab services require you to meet your annual deductible before they cover any remaining costs at a HAP drug addiction treatment center in Michigan.

We can help you start residential treatment and dual diagnosis services today. Don’t wait to get help.

HMO-POS HAP Addiction Treatment Coverage

There are two HMO-POS plans: Option 1 and Option 2. Neither have a deductible, so if you seek treatment for substance abuse and/or mental health, it does not matter whether you meet with a specialist at Liberty House; there is no deductible you have to meet before your insurance steps in to cover your costs.

However, there are the same divides between copay costs for primary care compared to specialists.

medications

HAP Michigan Drug and Alcohol Rehab Medications

HAP addiction treatment coverage extends to prescription medications. For some policies, there are no copays associated with covered drugs as long as a pharmacy is used to fill the prescriptions.

Additionally, the state of Michigan covers some medications that are not covered by a HAP policy, depending on your plan type. If you have the empowered Medicaid plan through HAP, any drug on the list of state-approved medications that are not covered by your health insurance is still covered by your Michigan state Medicaid card.

It can be difficult to know which drugs are covered, to what extent they are covered, what you have to pay out of pocket, and any limitations on those prescriptions. But our team makes it easy. When you contact Liberty House, our intake specialist can review your plan and the policy benefits.

After an initial assessment, we can provide a recommended Michigan HAP drug rehab, broken down into the types of medications, therapies, and residential services you would receive.

From there, we can break down which components within that HAP Michigan drug and alcohol rehab plan are covered by your policy and which you might have to pay for out of pocket.

Let our team help you review your benefits and start you on the right treatment plan.

HAP Addiction Treatment Coverage for Therapy

HAP offers dedicated mental health services. There are Coordinated Behavioral Health services to ensure you get the therapy you need. Mental health and substance abuse services require ongoing therapy at a HAP drug addiction treatment center in Michigan during your recovery stay.

As mentioned, depending on your plan type, some of your individual and group therapy sessions might require a limited copay. However, the benefits associated with your particular policy might waive the copay as part of your behavioral health services. This is something we can help you review before you get started.
